💡 However, instead of internalising feelings of helplessness or inadequacy when admitting powerlessness over harmful behaviours, substance use, or disorders, it’s essential to shift our perspective.
❗ The Truth About Powerlessness:
Admitting that we are powerless over certain things does not mean we are weak. On the contrary, it demonstrates emotional intelligence and bravery. Recognising the illusion of control we attempt to maintain over aspects of life beyond our reach does not indicate incompetence; rather, it empowers us to focus on what we can control.
